This report shows the levels of digitalisation of competition agencies across the ICN membership in different areas, and outlines various strategies and approaches employed by agencies when embracing the potential of digitalisation to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness. The report findings are based on data collected through a survey of the Agency Effectiveness Working Group (AEWG) member agencies between November 2020 and February 2021.

In an effort to address agencies’ digital transformations from an integrated and holistic perspective, the report looks at three key areas – agencies’ digital environ-ments (including digital tools), digital goals and strategies, as well as adoption of new digital skills. To be able to unlock the full potential of digitalisation, it is important that agencies consider all three of these domains, rather than address each of them separately.
