This report provides an overview of whether and how competition agencies measure the effectiveness of their activities, with a primary focus on enforcement and advocacy. The report examined four approaches to measuring effectiveness and these include 1) monitoring and evaluating effectiveness before courts, 2) monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of implementation, 3) simplified calculation of expected consumer benefits/savings, 4) evaluation of the actual effects of individual interventions.
