ICN Special Project on Competition in Food and Agriculture Markets

The ICN Special Project on Competition in Food and Agriculture Markets was established in response to rising food inflation and persistently high food prices in recent years. Its mission is to elevate food and agriculture as a priority area for competition agencies worldwide.

The project supports competition authorities in sharing knowledge and building capacity to address anti-competitive practices in food and agricultural markets. It also encourages market monitoring, promotes cross-border cooperation among agencies, and identifies opportunities for advocacy in favour of pro-competitive policies.

The Special Project is co-chaired by the Competition Commission of South Africa and the Competition Authority of Kenya.
