International Coordination

Mission

The ICN seeks close cooperation on anti-trust issues with other international bodies working in the same field, such as in particular the WTO, UNCTAD, and the OECD.

The Vice Chair for International Coordination was created with the goal of strengthening ties between the ICN and International and Regional Organisations (I&RO) in order to promote greater competition advocacy.

Current Work

In order to enhance engagement between ICN and other relevant international organisations the Vice Chair for International Coordination is:

  • Preparing a database of networks and organisations in competition-related activities;
  • Working with ICN Working Group chairs to identify ICN work products that are particularly suitable for use in the provision of technical assistance; and
  • Liaising with regional networks and international organizations to identify opportunities coordinate technical assistance and outreach efforts, in particular those using ICN work products.

Information of the regional networks about competition (including status, membership, activities) and technical assistance donors and providers (including active consultants) engaged in projects with competition agencies
