Participation in Educational Institutions

Teaching students audiences about the mandate and activities of the competition authority, as well as the importance of market competition, ensures they are familiar with the rules of competition before they enter the work force.

Brazil

Brazil’s Administrative Council for Economic Defense has published a
guide aimed at students entitled "The Defense of Competition in Brazil" in partnership with the School-Enterprise Integration Center, a non-profit organization run by entrepreneurs that seeks training opportunities for students. The goal of the guide is to ensure students, as future business people, know about the institutions responsible for the defense of competition and understand why competition law is relevant for national country’s competitiveness.

European Union

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition is involved in post-graduate training activities for Masters in Business Administration students.

Spain

The Competition Authority of Spain regularly participates in university and business school courses by sending the Director General for Competition, Deputy Directors and other staff to speak about competition law and its enforcement.

Turkey

The Turkish Competition Authority (TCA) considers university students to be the business persons, government officials, lawyers, and employees of the future. The TCA requires some of its experts to make presentations in the postgraduate programs held by the universities. It also participates in the undergraduate program of the Ankara University Law Faculty, by sending its experts for case studies in Competition Law lectures.

Zambia

The Zambia Competition Commission is usually invited by student bodies to make presentations about its activities and functions. In turn, students especially those in business studies, can visit the Commission to gain more information.
